Portraiture:
At Shanks Photography we strive to achieve a level of quality you won’t find anywhere else in central Georgia. We approach each session like an artist approaches a blank canvas. We start with a vision gathered from conversations with you. From there we add an appropriate environment sprinkled with just the right amount of light that portrays each person with a timeless, classic look. Our goal is for you to enjoy these images as decor in your home for many years to come.
Standard Procedures:
When you book a portrait session with us, we will also schedule a portrait planning session and an ordering appointment.
Standard portrait sessions include: Classic Family, Signature Family, Children, Babies, Newborn, Maternity & Business Portraits.
Our session pricing is simple, $95 at the studio or $125 on location.
We prefer to meet with you in person to plan your portrait but if your time is limited, we can talk with you on the phone or even skype with you. We will discuss the intended use of your portraits, clothing choices, location choices and what kind of portrait style you desire.
Ordering appointments are usually at our studio. That is the time you will see your portraits and place your order. Typically, your appointment is scheduled within 1 to 2 weeks of your portrait session. This allows us time to prepare your images with the creative vision we have for each portrait piece based on our discussions with you in your portrait planning appointment.
Here is an idea of what our pricing structure looks like.
Our single prints 8x10 are $55 and 5x7’s are $30.
Our small 11x14 wall portraits begin at $85 and 16x20 and larger are $0.55 per square inch.
